Re-homing dogs awareness
If you're thinking of getting a dog, it may be worth considering a rescue animal. We talk to Many Tears Animal Rescue about its work and the many dogs in their care.
Every year, hundreds of dogs across the UK need re-homing. Many of these dogs are perfectly happy without any behavioural or medical problems whatsoever. They are made homeless through lack of money, family break-up, re-location or a lack of knowledge on how to care for them.Sadly, some rescue dogs may have previously been mistreated, dumped or suffered unsuitable conditions, which has led them to develop undesirable behaviour and/or a lack of social skills with humans and other animals. It must be stressed that with time and love these
issues can be resolved, and the time and commitment spent on them is certainly worth the reward for the new owner.
Following a troubled past, Many Tears success story Barney is now enjoying his new home.
If you are thinking about getting a dog, spare a thought for all the dogs and puppies desperately seeking a loving home. While there are many great dog breeders around, there are also hundreds of dogs in rescue centres looking for a new home. Of course in some cases, for some people, it can be in their interest to buy a particular breed as a puppy, but in the vast majority of cases a rescue dog would be as good an option.
It is worth bearing in mind that if you are looking for a specific breed of dog, there are many organisations that only re-home certain dog breeds and can help with specific requests.
Naturediet knows how important it is to feed a great diet to dogs that haven’t had the best start to life, and so from April we will be sponsoring Many Tears Animal Rescue. Based in South Wales, we'll be sending the centre cases of Naturediet Puppy/Junior for the many puppies they take in, as they find our natural diet helps and suits young puppies delicate tummies.
Sylvia and Bill VanAtta who run Many Tears Animal Rescue say: “Over the years, we have often used Naturediet when a dog could not settle on other foods. It is a 100% natural, free from preservatives, chemicals and artificial ingredients. They have a great product range and seem to be able to satisfy even the fussiest eaters. We are delighted to be supported by Naturediet and welcome them to the Many Tears family.
Many Tears Animal Rescue work throughout the year, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to help unwanted and abandoned dogs find new loving homes.
